Competition Guidelines

You can bring slides and prints to the first meeting of each month for the next competition or you can deliver your images by Saturday before competition night to the Competition Chairperson.

If a competitor fails to enter the full number of permitted slides or prints in a given month, he or she may submit as many as three makeup slides, two makeup small monochrome prints, two makeup small color prints, one makeup large monochrome print and one makeup large color print per month in the contests remaining in that program year until the shortfall has been eliminated. Makeup entries are scored as usual but are not eligible for Awards or Honorable Mention honors. Separate entry forms must be submitted for make-ups with "MAKE-UP" clearly shown on the form.

SLIDES:

Each slide must be clearly marked as follows: First, Place a blank SPOT (use a light color) in the lower left-hand corner when the slide is held in viewing position. That means when the image is right side up and is turned the way you want it to appear on the screen. Second, turn the slide upside down and put a Title next to the spot. The title will be readable when the slide is in the projection tray. Put your name and address on the reverse side. ALWAYS put Lombard C.C in case the slide is used at CACCA.

Fill out the entry slips as follows (both sides for regular competitions, just one side for the special category slide competition):

PRINTS:

The title, your name and Lombard Camera Club must appear legibly on the back of the mount board in the upper left-hand corner. Club stickers will be available during the year and can be used.

SMALL COLOR PRINTS:

Prints must be mounted on 11" x 14" mount board. Both maker-made and commercial prints are eligible in this division at Lombard Camera Club.

SMALL MONOCHROME PRINTS:

Must be mounted on 11" x 14" mount board. Both maker-made and commercial prints are eligible in this division at Lombard Camera Club.

LARGE COLOR PRINTS:

Prints must be mounted on 16" x 20" mount board. Both maker-made and commercial prints are eligible in this division at Lombard Camera Club.

LARGE MONOCHROME PRINTS:

Must be mounted on 16" x 20" mount board. Both maker-made and commercial prints are eligible in this division at Lombard Camera Club.

SPECIAL CATEGORY COMPETITIONS AT LOMBARD C.C.

Enter one small print each month. (It is not necessary to enter each month.)  Please refer to the present year's schedule for Special Categories for the present year.

Use of a print in the special category competition does not affect it eligibility for use in regular competition, and vice versa. Special category entries may be considered for use in CACCA's monthly inter club competitions.
